Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If you have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription, you can share it with up to five other people. Each person gets their own Microsoft account benefits, including Office apps, OneDrive storage, and access on multiple computers and devices. You do not install your copy directly onto their computers. Instead, you invite them to use the subscription with their own Microsoft account.
Start by signing in to your Microsoft account at the Microsoft 365 account page using the account that owns the subscription. Open the “Services & subscriptions” section and find your Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Select the option to share your subscription.
You can invite family members by entering their email address or by copying a sharing link and sending it to them. The person you invite must accept the invitation using their own Microsoft account. If they do not already have one, they can create one for free during the process.
After accepting the invitation, they should sign in to the Microsoft account page with their own account and install Microsoft 365 on their computer. They can download and activate Office apps such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint on Windows or Mac computers.
Each person can install Microsoft 365 on multiple devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones, while signed in with their own account. You can manage who has access at any time from the sharing section of your Microsoft account and remove people if needed.
