How do I give a new credit card for use

To have future subscription charges use a different credit card, add the new card to the Microsoft account and then set it as the payment method for the subscription.

1. Add the new credit card to the Microsoft account
   1. Go to the Payment options page of the Microsoft account dashboard by selecting Sign in on this page: Add a new bank or credit card to your Microsoft account.
   2. After signing in, select Add a new payment method.
   3. Enter the new card details and save. The card will then be available as a payment option for subscriptions and purchases.
2. Change the subscription to use the new card
   1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page and sign in with the account that owns the Microsoft 365 subscription.
   2. Locate the Microsoft 365 subscription that shows the upcoming $129.99 charge.
   3. Use the Change your subscription payment method and options flow described here: Change your Microsoft subscription payment method and options to switch the subscription’s payment method to the new card just added.

If the subscription is prepaid (paid in full in advance), the payment method for renewals cannot be changed on that existing term; instead, update the payment info on the Microsoft account and then buy a new subscription with the new card when the current one expires, as described under Prepaid subscriptions in the same article.

If access to the account that owns the subscription is not available (for example, no sign-in credentials), cancellation or changes through Microsoft may be difficult; in that case, the documented alternative is to work with the card issuer or bank to stop future charges.
