Upgrade to Microsoft 365

To move from Microsoft 365 Basic to Microsoft 365 Personal with proration, purchase Microsoft 365 Personal using the same Microsoft account that is currently subscribed to Basic.

When upgrading to a subscription with more features:

1. Buy the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription and sign in with the same Microsoft account as the Basic subscription.
2. The remaining days on the current Microsoft 365 Basic subscription are automatically converted and added to the new Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
3. The exact number of days added is adjusted based on the plan change. For upgrades from Microsoft 365 Basic to Microsoft 365 Personal, 24% of the remaining Basic time is converted and added to the Personal subscription.

This mechanism effectively prorates the unused portion of the Basic subscription into additional time on the Personal subscription rather than a partial refund of the $19.99 paid in January.
