After converting subscription from "Microsoft action plan" to pay as you go and this was in a separate tenant my current subscription PII removed shows current cost 0.00 when a few days ago it was close to $300 or so. Once I click and view details yesterday i saw $115.00 so now it does not show anything in cost management.

Please advice (i was asked by support yesterday to create this in this forum).

Thanks.

The most likely causes are either a tenant/directory mismatch after the subscription type change, or that the billing account/scope being viewed no longer matches the subscription’s current billing context.

Use these checks to locate the correct billing view:

    1. Confirm the correct tenant/directory
      • In the Azure portal, select the profile (email) in the top-right corner.
      • Select Switch directory.
      • In Directory + subscription / All directories, switch to the directory that contains the converted pay-as-you-go subscription.
      • After switching, go to Cost Management + Billing → Subscriptions and re-check the subscription’s charges.
    2. Verify the billing account type and scope
      • In Cost Management + Billing, open Properties (or Billing scopes if there are multiple).
      • Confirm the Type of the billing account (for example, Microsoft Online Subscription Program vs Microsoft Customer Agreement vs Enterprise Agreement).
      • Make sure the subscription is being viewed under the correct billing account type that now owns the pay-as-you-go subscription.
    3. Check if the subscription is under a different billing account
      • If there is access to multiple billing accounts (personal, Enterprise Agreement, Microsoft Customer Agreement), repeat step 2 for each billing scope to find where the subscription now resides.
    4. If the subscription or historical charges still cannot be seen
      • There may be an account or subscription flag or a back-end issue related to the conversion (similar to cases where a subscription is not visible or not fully created).
      • Create a free Billing support request so a billing engineer can review the subscription and its cost data:
        1. Go to the Azure portal Help + support blade (or directly to the support creation page).
        2. Choose Billing as the issue type.
        3. Select the affected subscription ID (27d157aa-d5e9-4cab-8ecd-6f8dc029bcdf).
        4. Complete the support request, describing that historical costs disappeared after converting from Microsoft Action Plan to pay-as-you-go in a different tenant.

Billing support is free and can validate whether the historical charges are still associated with the subscription and why Cost Management currently shows $0.00.
