My one account was getting hacking attempts so I made it passwordless using Authenticator app I will push a number to sign in. Authenticator doesn't get push notification anymore it shows 8 digit number. My account has 2 factor verification only one email getting the code other email doesn't get the code. my info on that very old account is probably wrong I made it when I was kid. But i need that account cause of important information and subscriptions etc. How to contact Microsoft support it seems non existent. it always tells me to fill a form which is useless. No human to talk to. Is this is the reason people switch to google ?

The it guy who told me to use authenticator didn't tell me it gets messed up.

it was on iphone

Please help .....

Hi Ja S,

I understand how frustrating this is, especially when the account is passwordless, Authenticator no longer receives the sign-in notification, and the backup email verification is also not working.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors here cannot access your Microsoft account, reset your security information, verify your identity, or escalate the account recovery process internally. Since your passwordless sign-in and recovery options are not working, this may need to be reviewed through Microsoft Support for personal accounts.

Before contacting support, you may also try signing in from the Microsoft account recovery page and choose “I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now” or “Use another verification option”, if either option appears. However, if the account recovery form keeps failing or looping, live chat would be the support path to have further guidance.

You can try reaching a live chat agent by following these steps:

1, Visit the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact - Microsoft Support

2, In the search bar provided on the page, type "Account recovery" and press Enter.

3, Click on the "Get Help" button that appears.

4, Scroll down the page until you see and click on the "Contact Support" option.

5, When prompted to select your product or service, choose "Other Products".

6, For the category, choose "Manage account security".

7, Look for and click on "Chat with a support agent in your web browser".

8, Confirm your personal email when prompted - this is the email Microsoft will use to communicate with you during and after the support session.

9, When connected, clearly explain your situation. Be concise but include all relevant details.

I hope this helps you reach the correct support channel and have the account access issue reviewed more directly.
