Because the mobile code method is currently unavailable and it is the only configured sign-in method, self-recovery options are limited. The available options from the provided information are:

    1. Try an alternative verification method if any exist
      • On the sign-in screen, select “Sign in another way” (or similar) and check if there is another method configured (such as office phone, another phone, or email).
      • If another method appears, choose it and complete verification.
    2. Use a trusted or usual device/location (for personal Microsoft accounts)
      • If this is a personal Microsoft account and sign-in was blocked as “unusual activity,” sign in from a device and location that has been used before and is set as a trusted device. This can allow access without the blocked method.
    3. Contact the organization’s IT/admin (for work or school accounts)
      • For work or school (Microsoft Entra ID) accounts where MFA is enforced and the only method is the mobile app/code, contact the organization’s IT help desk or administrator. They can reset MFA methods or add an alternative sign-in method.
    4. If the account is locked or verification codes are blocked
      • For personal Microsoft accounts that are locked or cannot receive verification codes, complete the account recovery form and/or contact Microsoft Support from another account, as described in the referenced guidance. Support agents can verify identity and help regain access but cannot bypass security without verification.

If none of these options are available (no other methods, no trusted device, and no admin/support access), there is no supported way in the provided material to bypass the unavailable mobile code method; recovery must go through admin or Microsoft support channels.
