Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Students at eligible academic institutions can get Microsoft 365 Education for free, which includes access to apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
Eligibility is based on the school, not the individual program. To check if Massachusetts Maritime Academy is eligible and to sign up:
- Go to the Microsoft education site: https://www.microsoft.com/education/products/office
- Enter the school-issued email address and select Get started.
- If the school is recognized as eligible, follow the prompts to complete sign-up for Microsoft 365 Education.
Once the account is active, Microsoft 365 apps can be used online in a browser or installed on a MacBook Pro:
- Sign in at https://office.com with the school account.
- Select Install Microsoft 365 (or Install apps) to download the installer for Mac.
- Run the installer and sign in with the same school account when prompted.
If the site does not recognize the school email as eligible, contact the institution’s IT or administration to ask whether they participate in Microsoft 365 Education or can set it up.
