For an Xbox account ban or suspension, the enforcement review and any contact with a human agent must go through the official Xbox enforcement and Microsoft support channels.
- Check why the account was banned and request a review
- Go to Sign in to find out why I'm suspended.
- Sign in with the banned Xbox/Microsoft account.
- Review the enforcement history and details.
- If a Case Review is available for the enforcement action, submit it from that page and provide all relevant information explaining why the ban is believed to be wrongful.
- For more background, see the guidance under Xbox Live policies and your account and submit a Case Review linked from the enforcement site.
- Contact Microsoft Support to speak with an agent
- Go to Contact a Microsoft support agent or Contact us.
- Enter a short description such as "Xbox account banned" and select Get Help.
- Scroll down and choose Contact Support.
- Select the appropriate product/service (Xbox) and follow the prompts.
- Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback option if offered.
- If sign-in issues occur with the Microsoft account itself
- If there are problems signing in to the Microsoft account (not just the Xbox enforcement), use the sign-in helper: Microsoft account sign-in helper and follow the guided steps.
- If the account may be compromised, start from: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account.
Note: Xbox enforcement decisions are handled only by the Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement Team. The primary path to challenge a ban is through the Case Review process on the enforcement site; regular support agents cannot directly overturn enforcement but can help explain options and next steps.
