My organization identity validation for AUL2 LLC failed with the message 'Please provide additional documents, but there is no upload option in the Azure portal. My identity validation ID is 20c90dc9-54ad-4d94-b1dd-061abb1cc817. I have my EIN letter and NC Articles of Organization filing receipt ready to submit. Please advise on how to upload these documents.

For Artifact Signing organization identity validation, additional documents are uploaded only after Microsoft explicitly requests them by email and sets the request status to require action.

    Based on the documented flow:

    1. After creating the organization identity validation, the status moves to In Progress.
    2. If more documents are required, Microsoft sends an email and the request status changes to Action Required.
    3. That email includes instructions and a link to upload the requested documents in the Azure portal. The upload option appears only in this state and only for the specific request.

If the validation has already failed and there is no upload option in the portal:

    1. Create a new organization identity validation request for the same organization in the Artifact Signing account and ensure all information matches your legal documents (EIN letter, Articles of Organization, etc.).
    2. Monitor the primary email address specified in the identity validation for:
      • The email verification link (must be completed within seven days).
      • Any follow‑up email requesting more documentation, which will contain upload instructions.
    3. If the new request again fails with “Please provide additional documents” but no upload option appears, or if you are unsure of the current status, open a support case:
      • Use Azure Support or post on Microsoft Q&A with the tag artifact-signing for direct assistance with the specific validation ID.

If identity validation ultimately fails because Microsoft cannot validate the information even after document requests, the guidance is to delete the Artifact Signing account so it does not incur charges.
