I am still getting the message 'you have insufficient storage space'

I've already changed the payment method ( changed bank account number to mine )because my husband has passed away.

I chose iDeal/Wero and 0.01 Euro has already been debited from my account, doesn't that mean I've agreed to the amount being debited from the account ?

It has been debited 0.01 Euro twice today and 27 May 2026.

Could you please check?

Thank you in advance.

The “insufficient storage space” message is not caused by the €0.01 test debits. Those small amounts are verification charges used by payment providers to confirm that the new payment method is valid; they do not clear or increase Microsoft storage by themselves.

To stop the storage warning and restore full service:

    1. Check actual storage usage and quota
      • Sign in to the Microsoft storage area of the account dashboard to see how much of the quota is used and which service (OneDrive or Outlook.com mailbox) is full.
      • If Outlook.com shows “Quota exceeded” or “Mailbox full”, open Outlook.com, go to Settings and search for Storage to see and clear space.
    2. Get back under the storage quota
      • Either delete files/emails or buy more storage:
        • For OneDrive/cloud storage: sign in to Manage your OneDrive storage to see what’s taking space and what storage plans are available.
        • For Outlook.com email: if using the free service, either buy a subscription to increase the mailbox quota or free up storage space by deleting mail (especially large messages and attachments).
      • If already a Microsoft 365 subscriber, note that consumer mailboxes are capped at 100 GB; to get back under quota, free up storage. If more than 100 GB is needed, an enterprise plan is required.
    3. Allow time for the change to propagate
      • After deleting content or purchasing storage, it can take up to 2–4 hours for a frozen/locked account to update and up to 24 hours for storage allowances to fully refresh across services.
      • If the account is still reported as over quota after 4 hours (or 24 hours after a purchase), contact Microsoft support using the official support channels.
    4. Verify the correct account
      • Ensure sign-in is with the same Microsoft account that receives the “insufficient storage” emails. Some users have multiple accounts or old profiles; the warning may refer to a different account than the one being checked.
    5. Confirm payment method is correctly set for subscriptions
      • To ensure ongoing storage or Microsoft 365 subscriptions are billed to the new bank account, go to Services & subscriptions, locate the OneDrive/Microsoft 365 subscription, and use Change how you pay to confirm the new payment method is attached.

If, after storage is clearly under quota and enough time has passed, the warning persists, support should review the specific account and subscription status.
