To talk to a live Microsoft support agent for Microsoft 365/Office, use one of these supported paths:
- Use the Get Help app on Windows (home users)
- In the Windows search bar, type Get Help and open the app.
- In the text box, type Chat with an agent and press Enter.
- When prompted, select Contact support.
- Choose the product or service (for example, Microsoft 365 or Office).
- Follow the prompts, then choose either:
- Chat with a support agent in your web browser, or
- Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you.
- Contact Microsoft 365/Office support online (home subscriptions)
- Go to the Microsoft Office Support site.
- At the bottom of the page, select Contact Us or Contact support.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account used for the Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Select the product category (for example, Microsoft 365 & Office).
- Choose a topic such as Manage my subscription or Billing and Payment updates.
- Confirm, then select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a call back if offered.
- Use Microsoft 365 admin center (if this is a business subscription and the account is an admin)
- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- Select Support > Help and support.
- Enter the issue, then select Contact support.
- Choose the preferred contact option (chat or phone) if available.
- Use the general Microsoft Support contact entry point
- Go to Contact a Microsoft support agent.
- Describe the problem.
- When the Contact Support option appears, select it.
- Choose the relevant product and scenario, then pick Chat or Call me back when those options are shown.
- Phone support via regional customer service numbers (especially if locked out or admin-only issues)
- Open the Customer service phone numbers page.
- Select the region and country/territory.
- Use the listed number to reach Microsoft customer service and follow the IVR prompts to reach support for Microsoft 365/Office.
If chat or call options do not appear, they may be outside support hours or not available for the specific product/region at that time; trying again later or choosing a slightly different category (for example, “Billing and Payment updates” or “Manage my subscription”) can surface the live-contact options.
