Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
For an issue where Outlook says there is no subscription even though Microsoft 365 shows an active one, direct contact with Microsoft Support is required because account and billing details cannot be accessed or fixed from here.
Use one of these supported contact paths for Microsoft 365 for home (Family/Personal):
- Contact Microsoft 365/Office support online
- Go to the Microsoft 365/Office support contact page: Contact Microsoft Office Support.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that shows the active Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Choose the Microsoft 365 & Office product category.
- For the issue type, select something like Manage my subscription or Billing.
- Proceed until the options Chat with a support agent or Call me back appear, then choose the preferred option to speak with a human agent.
- Use the Get Help app (on Windows)
- Open the Get Help app from the Start menu.
- Type a short description such as “Microsoft 365 subscription active but Outlook says no subscription”.
- When suggested help articles appear, scroll down and select Contact support.
- Select the Microsoft 365 & Office product and follow the prompts to connect to a live agent or request a callback.
- General Microsoft support entry point
- Go to the main Microsoft support site: Contact – Microsoft Support.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
- Under Products & Services, choose Microsoft 365 & Office.
- Under category, choose Manage my subscription.
- Confirm and then select Chat with a support agent or the callback option.
If the subscription was renewed but apps still show as unlicensed, support may also verify the renewal status and correct any account mismatch. Before or during the call/chat, it can help to:
- Confirm the subscription status at the Microsoft account, Payment & billing page and verify it shows as active.
- Make sure Outlook/Office is signed in with the same Microsoft account that shows the active subscription.
For urgent, account-specific billing or subscription problems (such as being charged multiple times or apps not recognizing an active subscription), Microsoft’s billing/support agents are the only ones who can correct the account and process any necessary refunds.
