I have microsoft 365 subscription with 6 id access to 1TB each. Now, i want to sign to one of the ids in the family subscription. It's asking for Authentication code, which i don't know where it is being sent. without this i cannot sign in to any of the family ids. And i have cloud data in all the family ids which i couldn't access now because of the authentication code issue. For us the tenant id is not backed up in any of the recovery contact/email id.

Let me know how i can recover the tenant id & the cloud data. Looking for a solution as soon as possible.

For a Microsoft 365 family subscription, each family member’s Microsoft account is a personal account, not a tenant-admin scenario. Recovery depends on what security info (phone/email/Auth app) still works for each account.

Because the authentication code is required and the destination is unknown or inaccessible, use the Microsoft account security-info recovery paths:

    1. If the password is known and at least one security method still works for that family ID:
      1. Sign in to that account’s Advanced security options page. Sign in
      2. Select Add a new way to sign in or verify and add a new phone or email.
      3. When the code is sent to the new phone/email, enter it to confirm.
      4. Expand any old/unusable security info entries and select Remove so future codes go only to valid methods.
    2. If the password is known but all security info for that family ID is lost (no access to any phone/email listed):
      1. Start sign-in for that Microsoft account. Sign in
      2. At Verify your identity, select I don't have any of these.
      3. Follow the steps to replace the security info.
      4. After replacement, there is a mandatory 30‑day wait before normal sign-in is allowed. During those 30 days, if the old security info becomes available again, it can still be used to sign in, but doing so cancels the pending change.
    3. If the password is not known and there is no access to any security info:
      1. Review the guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
      2. Submit the account recovery form for that Microsoft account. Recover account

These processes are per-account. They do not require knowing a “tenant ID” for a family subscription. Once each Microsoft account is recovered and security info is updated, OneDrive/Cloud data for that account becomes accessible again.

Note that support agents cannot bypass verification, send codes, or directly change account details; all recovery must go through the documented self-service flows.
