The email and storage will only update correctly if the Microsoft 365 Family subscription is shared and accepted properly, and the account is not already using another shared subscription.

    Use these checks and steps:

    1. Confirm the subscription type and owner
      • The person sharing must be the subscription holder of an active Microsoft 365 Family (or Premium) subscription.
      • They should sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services and check that:
        • The subscription is Family (not Basic or Personal).
        • It is active.
        • Share subscription is visible.
    2. Check that the share was actually accepted
      • The subscription holder should go to the Subscriptions page, open Share subscription, and look at the list of people they’ve shared with.
      • If the status next to the email is Pending, the invitation has not been accepted yet.
      • If needed, they should resend the invitation.
    3. Accept the family sharing invitation correctly
      • Open the invitation email and select Join now.
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account/email that is used for the mailbox showing “no storage”.
      • Complete joining the Microsoft family group.
      • Only after selecting Join now and joining the family group will the subscription dashboard show Start sharing and apply benefits.
    4. Check for conflicts with another shared subscription
      • If the account is already part of another shared Microsoft 365 Family/Premium subscription, it cannot receive benefits from a second one. In that case, the existing shared subscription must be left first.
    5. Wait for OneDrive/email storage to update
      • After the invitation is accepted, storage can take up to about 2 hours to update.
      • Then go to Manage storage in OneDrive and refresh the page to see if the quota has increased.

If, after these steps, the email still shows no storage or no subscription, the subscription holder should remove the share for that account and share it again, ensuring the correct email is used and the invitation is accepted with that same account.
