Hello Gangadhar Vellanki!
From what you shared, OneNote on your iPad has recently started freezing when working on new pages, often requiring you to force close the app before it responds again. This kind of behavior might be related to how the app handles background sync or its local app state on iPadOS.
In addition to the suggestions from Q&A Assist, you can also try the following steps:
- Turn off some iPad / OneNote behaviors (quick test)
- If Stage Manager is enabled, go to Settings > Multitasking & Gestures and turn it off
- In OneNote, go to … > Settings > Sync, then turn off Auto Sync Attachments (temporarily)
These reduce background activity that can cause freezing when opening or editing new pages.
- Reset the OneNote app
- Close OneNote completely
- Go to Settings > OneNote
- Tap Reset OneNote
This refreshes the app settings and cached state without deleting your notes.
- Reinstall OneNote (if needed)
If the issue continues:
- First make sure your notes are synced and visible on the web (onenote.com)
- Then uninstall and reinstall OneNote to fully refresh the app
Hope one of these methods could help. Please let me know how it goes on your device, I'm happy to support further!
