Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Refunds for Microsoft subscriptions are generally processed within a few business days after Microsoft issues them, but the actual credit to the bank or card can take a few more days depending on the payment provider.
To check status and then contact support:
- Verify refund status
- Go to the Microsoft account Order history page:
account.microsoft.com/billing/orders. - Find the subscription in the list and check whether a refund is shown.
- If a refund is listed but not yet on the bank/card, wait a few more days, as banks can take additional time to post the credit.
- Go to the Microsoft account Order history page:
- If no refund is shown or the delay is excessive
- Use the refund guidance for Microsoft subscriptions to confirm eligibility and steps: How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription.
- If still unresolved, contact Microsoft Support directly:
- Go to the Microsoft Support site (Contact Microsoft Support).
- Enter a short description such as “subscription refund not received” and select Get Help.
- When prompted, choose the category for Microsoft 365/Office and Manage my subscription or Billing and payment.
- Continue until the option appears to Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a callback.
- If support confirms the refund was issued but the bank/card still does not show it after several more days, contact the bank or card issuer with the refund details (date, amount, and merchant “Microsoft”) so they can trace the incoming credit.
