Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To restore access to billing and other actions, sign in with an identity and email address that has permission to the billing account, and complete verification using a working method.
- Sign out of all Microsoft sessions and close the browser.
- Open a new InPrivate/Incognito window and go to the Azure portal: https://portal.azure.com.
- If there are two identities for the same email (work/school and personal), select the other identity when prompted and sign in again.
- After signing in, go to Cost Management + Billing and check whether the billing account appears. If it does, retry the verification step from there.
- If the billing account still does not appear or verification continues to fail, contact Microsoft support so that a support engineer can review the error (including Error Code 399287, Request Id, Correlation Id, and Timestamp) and assist with clearing the verification issue.
If SMS verification is unreliable or blocked, request that support help add or switch to another verification method (such as Microsoft Authenticator) for the account.
