Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
A refund may be possible, depending on how and where the subscription was purchased and local refund rules.
Because the subscription was purchased on Android (for example, via GCash through Google Play), the refund must be handled through the store where the purchase was made, not directly by Microsoft.
Follow these steps:
- If the subscription was bought through Google Play on Android:
- Go to the Google Play account used for the purchase.
- Follow Google’s process in Learn about Google Play refund policies to request a refund.
- If approved, the refund will be returned to the original payment method (such as GCash).
- If the subscription was bought directly from Microsoft (not via Google Play):
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the purchase.
- Find the subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the on-screen steps.
- Refund eligibility depends on the subscription type, country/region, and timing of cancellation. For some countries, prorated refunds are available when canceling; see the refund policy details in the documentation.
- If the purchase was from the Apple App Store instead (iOS):
- Request a refund through Apple using the Apple support refund process.
If the charge is not recognized or there are multiple/duplicate charges, use the guidance in the billing support articles to investigate the charge and then follow the refund steps for the identified subscription.
