Hello,

My credit card was charged for a Microsoft Store purchase, but the OneDrive storage package has not been activated on my account. I can confirm that the payment was successfully processed.

Payment details:

Amount: PKR 22,999.00

Merchant: MICROSOFT*STORE MSBILL.INFO IRL

Date: 30-04-2026

Card ending: 4985

Available Limit after transaction: PKR 451,627.08

Bank Reference: SCBPL#

Despite this charge, my OneDrive storage remains unchanged and the package I purchased is not active.

Could you please advise how to resolve this issue and ensure my storage plan is activated?

Thank you.

To get the OneDrive storage plan activated after being charged, follow these steps to verify the charge and then contact the correct support channel if needed:

    1. Confirm the charge in Microsoft order history
      1. Go to the Microsoft account order history page: account.microsoft.com/billing.
      2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account that should have the OneDrive storage.
      3. Select Payment & billing > Order history and set the Refine filters to include the purchase date (30‑04‑2026).
      4. Look for an order matching PKR 22,999.00 with status Completed or Redeemed. If the status is In progress, the charge may not yet be fully posted to the Microsoft account.
    2. Check for duplicate or misapplied charges
      • If the bank statement shows the charge but the Microsoft order history does not show a matching completed order, there may be:
        • A payment taken on a different Microsoft account using the same card, or
        • A billing issue where the charge did not correctly attach to the account.
      • In that case, go to the Manage your payments page and use Investigate:
        • Open the Manage your payments page.
        • Select the card ending in 4985 and choose Investigate to search for other Microsoft accounts using that card and see what the charge is linked to.
    3. Investigate the charge as an unrecognized or incorrect billing
      • If the order does not appear under the expected account, or the product type is not the OneDrive/OneDrive‑related subscription that was intended, use Microsoft’s billing investigation flow:
        • Go to the Manage your payments page and select Investigate on the relevant payment method.
        • Alternatively, use the billing troubleshooter: Start from the “How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft” article.
      • Common causes include:
        • A Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled being renewed.
        • A previously declined charge that was later processed successfully.
        • A purchase made by a family member using the same card.
    4. Verify that the correct subscription is active
      • In the Microsoft account portal, check Services & subscriptions to see if any Microsoft 365 or OneDrive‑related subscription shows as Active and matches the date/amount.
      • If the subscription is active but storage is not reflected in OneDrive, sign out of all Microsoft services, sign back in with the same account, and check OneDrive storage again.
    5. If the charge exists but no matching subscription or order is found
      • Use the Investigate option on the payment method as above.
      • If the issue persists (charge on card, no corresponding order or subscription, and storage not updated), contact Microsoft billing support so they can:
        • Locate the transaction using the card details and date.
        • Attach the purchase to the correct account or correct the billing and issue a refund if appropriate.
      • For direct assistance, follow the pattern used in similar billing cases:
        • Go to the Microsoft Support site.
        • Sign in with the Microsoft account.
        • Choose the product category (for example, Microsoft 365 or account/billing).
        • Select a billing or subscription issue and use Chat with a support agent or Call me back.
    6. If the charge turns out to be incorrect or unwanted
      • Once the purchase is identified, if it is not the intended OneDrive plan or was created in error, use the refund and cancellation options from the subscription or order details page, following the guidance in the refund and cancellation articles referenced in the context.

These steps ensure the charge is correctly mapped to the Microsoft account and that the purchased OneDrive storage (or related subscription) is either activated or refunded if misapplied.
