The message shown in Word on Mac indicates that the current Microsoft 365 plan assigned to the deped.gov.ph account allows only viewing documents on a Mac and does not include a license that enables editing/activation of Office apps on this device.

To resolve this:

Use Use Another Account and sign in with a different Microsoft 365 account that has a valid Office license for Mac. After activation with that account, editing will be enabled.
If the deped.gov.ph account is supposed to have full Microsoft 365 desktop app rights, contact the school/organization IT or Microsoft 365 administrator and ask them to:
- Verify that the account has an appropriate Microsoft 365 subscription assigned that includes Office apps for Mac.
- If needed, update the license or reassign the correct plan, then sign out of Office on the Mac and sign back in.

Until a proper license is assigned, the account can only view documents in Word on Mac and cannot be used to fully activate Office.
