2 weeks of Account Activity vs. one day Requesr

I successfully changed my password - in the process an unfamiliar password popped up I have never seen. Recent activity report only had 1 day of activity. How can I look up the past week to two weeks of activity? Thank you. It will give me peace of mind that it was an odd glitch that turned up while re setting my password.

For a Microsoft work or school account, only the recent activity that Microsoft currently exposes can be viewed; if the page is only showing one day, there is no supported way in this context to extend that view to earlier weeks beyond what the service provides.

To review what is available and confirm there is no unfamiliar activity:

    1. Go to the My Account portal at https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ and sign in with the work or school account.
    2. Select My sign-ins or Recent Activity in the left navigation.
    3. Expand each listed sign-in and verify the location, app, browser, and operating system details. If anything is unfamiliar, immediately change the password again and review security info.
    4. Optionally, search within the visible activity (for example, by Unsuccessful or by app, OS, or location) using the search bar on the Review recent activity page.

For a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com/Hotmail, etc.), use the Recent activity page instead:

    1. Go to the Security basics page and sign in.
    2. Select Review activity to open the Recent activity page.
    3. Review all listed sign-ins for the last 30 days. If any activity is not recognized, expand it and choose This wasn’t me or Secure your account, then change the password and update security settings.

If the unfamiliar password appeared only once during reset and no suspicious sign-ins appear in the available recent activity, the behavior may have been a transient glitch during the password reset flow. Peace of mind can be improved by:

    • Ensuring the password is now strong and unique.
    • Enabling two-step verification / multi-factor authentication where available.
    • Regularly checking the Recent activity / My sign-ins page for any new unusual activity.
