Best Buy 365 Subscription

A Microsoft account can have only one active Microsoft 365 for home subscription (Family or Personal) at a time. Adding the Best Buy 1‑year Microsoft 365 Personal to the same account will not create a second parallel subscription; it will either:

1. Extend time on the existing Family subscription (with adjusted duration because Family costs more), or
2. Switch the account from Family to Personal if that option is chosen.

To avoid losing Microsoft 365 Family benefits:

1. Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services with the same Microsoft account used for the Family subscription.
2. Check the current subscription type and expiry date.
3. When redeeming the Best Buy product key, if prompted:
   • Choose to stay with Microsoft 365 Family and accept a shorter extension period, so the plan remains Family.
   • Do not choose to switch to Microsoft 365 Personal.

If the Personal key has not yet been redeemed, it can also be kept unused or redeemed on a different Microsoft account (for someone else) to avoid affecting the existing Family subscription.
