Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
A refund can only be processed after canceling the subscription and depends on where the subscription was purchased and the country/region.
Follow these steps based on how the Microsoft 365 / Copilot subscription was bought:
- If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services (on a browser).
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was charged.
- Find the Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel and follow the instructions.
- Refund eligibility:
- For Microsoft 365: Refund eligibility is checked after cancellation. Some countries (such as Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Turkey) may receive prorated refunds. Learn more.
- For Copilot Pro:
- In Canada, Denmark, France and other listed regions, a prorated refund is available if canceled at any time.
- In all other countries, a prorated refund is available if canceled within 14 days of the initial purchase.
- If the subscription was purchased through Google Play (Android / GCash often routes via Play Store)
- Microsoft cannot directly refund these purchases.
- For Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro bought via Google Play, contact Google Play support and follow their refund process: see Learn about Google Play refund policies in the documentation.
- If the subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store (iOS)
- Contact Apple support and request a refund using their process: see Apple support link in the documentation.
If the charge is not recognized or was clearly accidental, also check the Microsoft account billing page to confirm the charge and then:
- Go to the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard to review the charge.
- If further help is needed (for example, the refund does not process automatically or the charge is disputed), contact Microsoft Support:
- Go to Contact Microsoft Support, describe the billing issue, select Get Help, then choose Contact Support (chat or call) for direct assistance.
For urgent exam-related or transport needs, cancel immediately so that any eligible refund can be processed as soon as possible.
