To recover Outlook.com emails that are no longer in Inbox, Junk, Deleted Items, or Other, use these steps in order:

    1. Check Junk Email
      • In Outlook.com or Outlook on the web, open the Junk Email folder.
      • If the messages from 3/30 are there, select them and choose Not junk > Not junk.
      • On Outlook for iOS or Android, go to Junk Email, select the message, then … > Move to Inbox.
      • Note: Junk email is only kept for 30 days and then is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
    2. Check Deleted Items
      • Open the Deleted Items folder.
      • If the messages are there, select them and choose Restore.
      • On Outlook for iOS or Android, go to Deleted Items, select the message, then … > Move to folder > Inbox.
      • Email is automatically deleted from Deleted Items after 30 days.
    3. Recover items removed from Deleted Items (Recoverable Items folder)
      • This must be done on a PC or Mac browser (not a mobile browser or mobile app).
      • In Outlook.com or Outlook on the web, select the Deleted Items folder.
      • At the top of the message list, select Recover items deleted from this folder.
      • Find the messages from 3/30, select them, then select Restore.
      • Restored messages go back to their original folder when possible; if that folder no longer exists, messages go to Inbox.
      • Items removed from Deleted Items are only recoverable for 30 days.
    4. Check the Focused/Other tabs
      • If Focused Inbox is turned on, check both Focused and Other tabs.
      • If a message is in Other, select it and choose Move to > Move to Focused inbox (or … > Move to Focused inbox on mobile).

If the messages are not in Junk, Deleted Items, or the Recoverable Items view, and more than 30 days have passed since permanent deletion, they cannot be recovered.
