How do I permanently disable Copilot in Outlook on my Android Phone?

Copilot keeps re-activating itself in Outlook on my Android Phone. I do not want this "feature" and want it permanently disabled, but every time I go into settings and turn it off, it turns itself back on within 30-45 minutes. I require assistance in ensuring that this "feature" stays OFF.

Please do not tell me to use the "toggle" I have done so, and this does not work.

You’re running into a known issue: Outlook for Android currently re‑enables the Copilot toggle automatically, even after users manually turn it off. This behavior has been widely reported and is not caused by anything you’re doing wrong. The toggle in the mobile app is not persistent, and Microsoft has not yet released a permanent fix for Android specifically.

Disable Copilot at the Microsoft 365 account level (the only persistent method)

If your Microsoft account is part of Microsoft 365 (Personal, Family, Business, or Enterprise), Copilot is controlled as an Integrated App. When disabled at the account level, Outlook mobile cannot re-enable it.

This must be done from a browser:

Sign in at admin.microsoft.com (works for Personal/Family too).
Go to Settings → Integrated apps.
Find Copilot for Microsoft 365.
Open Manage access.
Remove yourself from the assigned users.

This prevents Outlook mobile from reactivating Copilot because the service is no longer provisioned to your account.

Those directions are impossible to follow. MS has changed the consoles again and these pages you reference don't exist.

Hello Alec,

Thanx for your answer but it appears to be a bit incomplete regarding Microsoft 365 Family Admin and Users.

For admins and users of the Microsoft 365 Family the shown answer is not possible .

http://admin.microsoft.com is not accesseble beacuse it seems to there is no family 365 admin use there.

And after a long search i found the original site https://account.microsoft.com and there is (currently or perhaps it never will be) NO WAY to diasble Copilot as admin in Outook Classic and android app as an admin (Does not seems to be there) :-(.

The other apps (or on windows pc) it can be done seperatly for each program. :-(
