Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
The exact charge details cannot be seen here, but there are supported ways to find out what this payment is for and what to do if it is duplicated.
- Go to the Manage your payments page for the Microsoft account that might be using this card:
- Sign in, then look for the charge and select Investigate next to it. This will show whether it is for a Microsoft 365 subscription, an app, game, in‑app purchase, or another Microsoft service. For more detail, see How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
- Common reasons for an unexpected or “duplicate” charge include:
- A Microsoft subscription (for example Microsoft 365) with recurring billing enabled.
- A family member or someone you know using the card on their Microsoft profile.
- A previously declined charge that was successfully processed later.
- A pre‑order or split order that shipped and billed separately.
- In‑app purchases from apps or games.
- If the subscription was cancelled but a charge still appears:
- Cancellations must be more than 2 days before the billing date. If cancelled too close to renewal, one more payment can still be taken. Check the subscription end date on the Subscriptions page of the Microsoft account.
- If, after using the Investigate flow, it still appears to be a fraudulent or duplicate charge:
- Use the Microsoft account billing support options (contact Microsoft Support) to request a review and possible refund for any extra or unauthorized charges.
- If the bank has already flagged the transaction as suspicious, be aware that raising a chargeback with the bank is treated as a formal dispute; repeated misuse of chargebacks can be considered fraud, so it is better to work with Microsoft Support first when possible.
Do not post card numbers or personal details publicly; use only the secure Microsoft account dashboard and official support channels.
