A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
After purchasing additional OneDrive storage, the quota does not always update immediately.
Based on the documented behavior:
- It can take up to 24 hours for OneDrive storage allowances to be updated after purchasing more storage or a subscription.
- If the storage still has not updated after 24–48 hours:
- Go to Manage your OneDrive storage to confirm the current quota and that the new plan is visible.
- If the quota still has not changed after this time window, contact Microsoft Support so they can correct the account.
- If the account is locked, it can take up to 2 hours after purchasing additional storage for the new quota to show; if it still has not updated after 4 hours, use the “get in touch with us” support option in the storage article.
If the upgrade cannot be applied and support cannot resolve it promptly, a refund can be requested following the standard Microsoft subscription refund process described in the billing and refund articles in the references.
