There are old consultant tenants deleted years ago that still show up under my personal MS account. How do I remove them from my account?

Those old consultant tenants can’t be removed manually from the tenant list if they are already deleted on Microsoft’s side. The behavior is tied to how Microsoft Entra tenants and subscriptions are created, blocked, and deleted, and there is no end‑user control documented to hide or purge historical, already‑deleted tenants from a personal Microsoft account.

The only supported cleanup actions in the provided documentation are:

    1. Delete or transfer active tenants/subscriptions you still control
If there are any tenants you still administer, you can:
      • Cancel and delete their Azure subscriptions as described in Cancel and delete your Azure subscription.
      • After all Azure/Microsoft 365 subscriptions are canceled and deleted, delete the tenant itself using Delete a Microsoft Entra tenant.
    2. Reactivate recently blocked (inactive) tenants, then clean them up
If a tenant was blocked due to inactivity (error AADSTS5000225) less than 20 days ago, a tenant administrator can contact Microsoft support to reactivate it, then follow the standard deletion steps. After 20 days in the blocked state, the tenant is permanently deleted and can’t be recovered or further managed.
    3. Rely on Microsoft’s automatic lifecycle
For tenants that were deleted years ago, they are already beyond the supported reactivation window and are considered permanently deleted. The documentation only covers how to delete tenants and subscriptions, not how to remove historical, already‑deleted tenants from the account selector UI. In that case, there is no documented self‑service method to remove those entries; they persist as historical artifacts but no longer represent active organizations.

If any of the listed tenants are still active or only recently blocked, sign in as an administrator for those tenants and follow the documented delete‑tenant and cancel‑subscription flows. Otherwise, no further cleanup is available from the client side according to the referenced documentation.
