Unable to reset password to Outlook account as no longer has access to Authenticator as on new phone and system won't send an SMS to my number to verify for 2FA

Purchased a new phone and need to reset my password for my Outlook account. Go to reset password but the system wants me to use Microsoft Authenticator which I no longer have access to as it was on my old phone.

I am able to get a code to my Gmail account but whenever I put my phone number in to receive an SMS for the second part of verification is says that the verification method isn't working and to try another way , which I can't as the only other option after Gmail would be the authenticator I no longer have access to.

I have tried sumbitting a form multiple times through the self help page providing details of old passwords, and exact sent email subject lines and email address but have had no response.

I need to reset my password but in order to do it I need to get a code to my phone number which the system will not send and wants me to use the authenticator I can no longer access.

I need help and can provide proof of identity and any info about account such as old phone numbers etc.

Can someone help that deals with 2FA issues like this? I know I should've made sure I was signed in on my new phone before getting rid of my old one :(
