For a Microsoft 365 Family subscription with a GoDaddy-managed domain and Outlook.com mail, only specific scenarios are supported and there are important limitations.

    1. Supported setup with Microsoft 365 Family/Personal
    • A personalized email address can be used with Outlook.com as a benefit of Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal.
    • At the moment, only domains managed by GoDaddy can be connected for this consumer personalized email feature.
    • GoDaddy is the only officially supported partner for personalized email addresses in Outlook with Microsoft 365 in this scenario.
    1. Limits that affect multiple addresses With Microsoft 365 Family/Personal and Outlook.com personalized email:
    • Multiple personalized aliases on a single mailbox (for example, ******@yourdomain.com, ******@yourdomain.com, ******@yourdomain.com all on one mailbox) are not supported as a feature of the current consumer offering.
    • Sharing the same custom domain with people who are not part of the same Microsoft 365 Family subscription is not supported for new setups.

If multiple addresses were previously configured through the old Outlook.com Premium portal:

    • Existing personalized addresses continue to work as long as:
      • The domain stays connected to Outlook.com, and
      • An active Microsoft 365 Family or Personal subscription is maintained.
    • New domains that are not hosted by GoDaddy cannot be connected now.
    1. If the domain was originally set up via Outlook.com Premium
    • If the domain was purchased elsewhere (not given by Microsoft) and connected through Outlook.com Premium, continuing to use the personalized email now requires an active Microsoft 365 Family or Personal subscription.
    • Management of the domain connection is now done from the premium features section of Outlook.com settings, not from the old premium.outlook.com portal.
    • If DNS records at GoDaddy are already correct and have not been cleared, the personalized addresses should keep working.
    • If DNS records were cleared or the domain was removed from Outlook, the domain must be transferred to GoDaddy before reconnecting it to Outlook.com, because GoDaddy is the only supported partner for this consumer scenario.
    1. What to check to get mail working again Given a GoDaddy domain and Microsoft 365 Family:
    • Confirm the domain is managed by GoDaddy and still active.
    • In GoDaddy, verify that the DNS records for Outlook.com personalized email have not been removed or changed.
    • In Outlook.com, go to the premium features section of Outlook.com settings and confirm the domain is still connected and the personalized address is associated with the correct Outlook.com mailbox.
    • If the domain was disconnected and cannot be reconnected, transfer or confirm the domain is with GoDaddy and then reconnect it using the supported personalized email flow.

If multiple aliases on one mailbox or sharing the domain beyond what is described above is required, those scenarios are not supported in the current Microsoft 365 Family/Personal + Outlook.com personalized email feature set.
