Why get rid of the ability to lock tabs in workspaces?

Not sure why getting rid of the lock tab function would be an improvement?

I used it to organize multiple different tabs to create a "shortcut" function to navigate through different windows with ease, now everything is a mess and very difficult to navigate now.

Are there any other options? Or a possibility to bring that function back?

This is a HUGE downgrade. I used the lock tab feature daily in my workgroups. It doesn't make any sense at all to remove this feature.

I strongly agree this feature should be brought back ... this was my favorite feature of using Edge ... but as there appears to be nothing posted about bringing this back I'll go back to Chrome where more capabilities to "save/hold tabs" like this exist (managing favorite folders is what I'm likely to go back to - pinned tabs won't scale and grouped tabs will change).

Now I'm so afraid to use Edge workspaces because I don't want to accidentally close some tabs, which had been locked. And the manual sort of workspaces is gone, too. I have dozens of workspaces. Now the list of workspaces is a total mess! They're not even sorted by alphabets. No idea by what they're sorted.

I used to work and study happily and productively with Edge workspaces every day. Now it's only frustration to me. I don't know what to do...
