Hotmail (now Outlook.com) and Phone Link are separate services, and each has its own troubleshooting and support paths.

    For Hotmail/Outlook.com not working:

    1. Confirm sign-in and account status:
      • Hotmail is now Outlook.com. Sign in at Outlook.com using the Microsoft account username and password.
      • If sign-in fails or the account is locked, use the sign-in troubleshooter and, if needed, the account recovery form starting from the official sign-in help pages.
    2. If sign-in works but mail is broken (sync, errors, etc.):
      • Use the Outlook.com self-help and recent-issues page. In Outlook.com, select Help on the menu bar, describe the problem, and if self-help does not fix it, scroll to Still need help? and choose Yes to reach support options.

    For Phone Link not working:

    1. Verify the same Microsoft account is used on both PC and Android:
      • On PC: go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/android-ios and sign in; confirm the Android device is listed.
      • On Android: in Settings > Accounts or Settings > Advanced features > Link to Windows, confirm the Microsoft account email shown matches the one on the PC.
    2. Fix common Phone Link connection errors:
      • If seeing “Something went wrong,” check:
        • PC is unlocked.
        • Wi‑Fi is available and stable.
        • Android device is in Wi‑Fi range and not in airplane mode.
      • If using Samsung DeX at the same time, close either DeX or Phone Link and use only one.
      • Phone Link does not support two-phone mode or multiple profiles; ensure the Android device is using the default profile and, if in Korea, contact the mobile provider to disable two-phone mode.

If none of this resolves the issues, use the general Microsoft support entry point to describe the specific symptoms (error messages, what happens when trying to sign in or connect) and follow the prompts to reach a support option such as chat.
