Hi Tim Steinouer
In recent updates, Outlook may insert the signature below the quoted message attribution, rather than directly under your reply text. This is not caused by corrupted profiles or cache and is not resolved by recreating the account or signature.
You can try the following workarounds:
- In Outlook, go to Outlook > Settings > Signatures.
- Under Choose default signature, make sure your Gmail account has a signature explicitly set for both New messages and Replies/forwards.
- If the issue persists, go to Settings > Email > Composing and enable “When replying or forwarding, use the format of the original message".
If the issue persists, please note that this workaround may not be a permanent fix in the New Outlook for Mac.
Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.
Given these limitations, the most appropriate avenue for product changes or feature requests is to submit feedback through the official Microsoft feedback channel.
