Office Home and Student 2007

Office 2007 is no longer supported, but it can still be installed if the installation media and product key are available.

Because the new laptop has no CD drive, use one of these approaches:

1. Use another PC with a CD/DVD drive
   1. On a PC that has a CD/DVD drive, insert the Office 2007 CD.
   2. Copy all files and folders from the CD to a USB flash drive.
   3. Move the USB flash drive to the new laptop.
   4. On the new laptop, open the USB drive and run SETUP.EXE.
   5. When prompted, enter the Office 2007 product key, accept the license terms, and complete setup.
2. Use an external USB CD/DVD drive
   1. Connect an external USB CD/DVD drive to the new laptop.
   2. Insert the Office 2007 CD.
   3. If setup does not start automatically, open File Explorer, go to the CD drive, and run SETUP.EXE.
   4. Enter the product key, accept the license terms, and complete setup.

After installation, activate Office 2007:

• From Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access: click the Microsoft Office Button > Options > Activate Microsoft Office.
• From other Office 2007 apps: click Help > Activate Product.
