delete completed To Do Tasks - no right click menu

I have reviewed all completed tasks. However, when I right‑click on any task, the option to ‘Delete All’ does not appear and using the Delete key on my keyboard does not remove the items. How can I delete all completed tasks?

Regarding your question about finding the option to delete completed tasks in Microsoft To Do, please follow the steps below:

In Grid View

Open Microsoft To Do and go to Tasks.
Click on a task to open its details.
You will see the delete option in the right corner.

In List View User's image

Right click the task you want to remove.
Select Delete from the context menu.

How do I do this for multiple entries all at once? When I right click, there is nothing that happens.

To delete multiple tasks at once, please follow the steps below:

Switch to List View.

Click on the first task you want to delete.

Hold down the Ctrl key and click on any additional tasks you wish to delete.

Once all desired tasks are selected, right click and choose Delete.

This allows you to select and remove multiple tasks at the same time.

Completed tasks in Microsoft To Do can be deleted, but there is no “Delete All” option in the right‑click menu for bulk removal. Use one of these supported methods instead:

Delete individual completed tasks
- Open the task’s detail view and select the trash icon in the bottom‑right corner to delete it.
- With a screen reader or keyboard, open the task’s details, tab to “Delete task,” and press Enter, then confirm by selecting “Delete task” again.
Bulk‑delete completed tasks (web, Windows, or Mac)
- In To Do on the web, Windows, or Mac, go to the list that contains the completed tasks.
- Select multiple tasks (for example, Shift‑click to select a range).
- Right‑click the selected tasks and choose Delete tasks from the context menu.
- This removes all selected tasks, including completed ones.

If deletion is not happening when pressing the Delete key, use the context‑menu method above or the trash icon in the detail view, as those are the supported delete actions.
