I am trying to update my payment method but can't use a card from a different Country since the form does not enable that section so then the information doesn't match and the new card is not accepted.

For Microsoft 365 business subscriptions, the payment method must be issued in the same country/region as the tenant. A card from a different country/region cannot be used, which is why the form does not let the country/region be changed and the card is rejected.

To resolve this, use one of these options:

  1. Use a credit or debit card issued in the same country/region as the Microsoft 365 tenant.
  2. If the tenant itself needs to be in a different country/region, create or move to a tenant in the correct region and purchase the subscription there, then use a card from that same region.
  3. If the card still cannot be added and it is from the correct country/region, contact the bank to confirm there are no blocks, then contact Microsoft support as described in the documentation.

Note that prepaid cards, stored value cards, and gift cards are not accepted as valid payment methods.

How do I do this step: If the tenant itself needs to be in a different country/region, create or move to a tenant in the correct region and purchase the subscription there, then use a card from that same region.
