UNLINK XBOX CONSOLE FROM MY PC. IT DOES NOT BELONG TO ME

To remove an Xbox console that does not belong to you from a Microsoft account, remove/unlink it from the account’s device list and then secure the account.

1. Remove/unlink the Xbox from the Microsoft account
   1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in with the affected Microsoft account.
   2. In the list of devices, locate the Xbox console (for example, the one with the name you mentioned).
   3. Select Show details or expand the device entry if needed.
   4. Select More actions > Remove or Remove device.
   5. Confirm by checking I’m ready to remove this device and then select Remove.
   If the console appears under Store devices/content:
   1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/content and sign in.
   2. Find the Xbox device and select Unlink.
   3. Review the device details and select Unlink again to confirm.
   After removal/unlinking, the console will no longer be associated with the account or count toward device limits.
2. Secure the Microsoft account (recommended if compromise is suspected)
   1. Run a full antivirus/malware scan on the Windows PC to ensure it is clean.
   2. Change the Microsoft account password immediately using a strong, unique password.
   3. Review and remove any suspicious sign-in verification methods or security info:
      • Go to the Advanced security options page for the Microsoft account.
      • Expand each verification method (phone, alternate email, authenticator app) and select Remove for anything that is not recognized.
      • If all security info must be replaced, add new info first; note that removing all security info places the account in a restricted state for 30 days.
   4. If there is evidence the account was hacked (unexpected sign-ins, changes to security info, etc.), follow the hacked/compromised account recovery steps:
      • Ensure the PC is clean (antivirus scan).
      • Change or reset the password.
      • Check account settings such as connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies for unauthorized changes.
3. If the Xbox does not appear in the device list If the console is not visible under the account’s devices, it may be registered under a different Microsoft account. In that case, complete the hacked/compromised account steps above and contact official Microsoft Support using the standard support channels for further investigation and to dispute any unauthorized Xbox or subscription activity.
