My microsoft account shows only one subscription for ultimate for 29.99. However, my credit card is being billed monthly four different charges. Microsoft 365 family 12.99, Microsoft ultimate 19.99, xbox ultimate 29.99, and xbox 9.99. How do I correct that?

To correct multiple unexpected monthly charges, each subscription and payment method must be identified and then cancelled or adjusted where appropriate.

    1. Check all Microsoft subscriptions on the account
      1. Go to the Services and subscriptions page and sign in.
      2. Review every listed subscription (Microsoft 365 Family, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Xbox Live/Console, etc.), their prices, and billing status (recurring billing on/off, next charge date).
      3. If any of the four products being charged do not appear here, they may be on a different Microsoft account.
    2. Look for subscriptions on other Microsoft accounts
      1. If only one subscription shows but the card is billed for several, another personal Microsoft account (or a family member’s account) may be using the same credit card.
      2. Go to the Manage your payments page and use Investigate to search for other accounts using the same card. For more details, see How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
    3. Investigate each unrecognized charge
      1. Use the guidance in How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft to match each amount (12.99, 19.99, 29.99, 9.99) and date to a specific subscription and account.
      2. Common causes include:
        • Multiple subscriptions with recurring billing enabled.
        • Family members using the same card.
        • A previously declined charge that later succeeded.
    4. Cancel or turn off recurring billing for unwanted subscriptions
      1. Once the account holding each subscription is identified, go to Services & subscriptions for that account.
      2. For subscriptions that should no longer renew, use Cancel or Turn off recurring billing (if available). If cancellation options are missing, follow the steps in Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription (check who you bought it from, confirm the correct account, and ensure there is no past-due balance).
    5. If a subscription was purchased through a third party
      1. If any of the subscriptions were bought via Amazon, a mobile app store, or another retailer, they must be managed and cancelled with that retailer. See Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription for details.
    6. Check for duplicate or closely timed charges
      1. If it appears that the same subscription is charged twice, review order history and bank statements as described in I’ve been charged twice to confirm whether there are truly duplicate payments or just closely timed catch-up payments.
    7. Request refunds or dispute charges if appropriate
      1. After identifying and cancelling unwanted subscriptions, use the refund process described in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription (linked from the articles) if the charges qualify.
      2. If a charge cannot be matched to any Microsoft account after using the Investigate tool, contact the card issuer to dispute it as a potentially fraudulent charge.
    8. Contact Microsoft Support if the issue persists
      1. If subscriptions and accounts cannot be reconciled or cancellation is blocked, contact Microsoft Support for billing help using the contact paths described in the referenced articles.
