Frustration at not being able to talk to anyone.

I have used the online chat which was frustrating as I chatted to one person and they gave me a link which I could not follow up as the conversation transcript was not sent to me. I contacted again and the agent cut me off. I contacted a third person who was helpful but did not resolve the problem. Again no transcript of conversation received . I need to speak to an actual person in the subscription department to hopefully receive an answer. This took all told about two hours with no resolution.

The Bot phone number is useless and why offered?? As it refers you to the web!!

The other thing is that each time I was dealing with a different person and they had no access to the previous agents notes and advice. Modern era communications should be more customer friendly as sometimes a human being can alleviate frustration and stress especially for the elderly.

To reach a human agent for Microsoft 365/Office subscription issues, use one of these supported paths:

    1. For Microsoft 365 home subscriptions (Basic, Personal, Family, Premium)
      • Go to the Microsoft 365 support contact page: Chat or receive a call back from a technical support expert.
      • Sign in with the account that owns the subscription.
      • Select the relevant product (for example, Microsoft 365 Personal/Family) and issue category.
      • Choose Chat or Call back to connect to a live support expert.
      • This channel covers subscription, billing, and technical issues for home plans.
    2. For business/enterprise Microsoft 365 subscriptions
      • Use the Customer service phone numbers page to find the regional support hotline for business:
        • Call the number for the region.
        • When the IVR (automated system) starts, wait through the initial message suggesting online support.
        • When prompted, choose the options for business/technical support (for example, “1” for business email user, then “1” for technical support, as described in similar cases).
      • If already an admin on a Microsoft 365 tenant, sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, select Help & Support, and create a service request so a support engineer can call back.
    3. If standard paths are blocked by sign-in or phone menu loops
      • Create a temporary trial Microsoft 365 tenant (business trial) using the public “Compare All Microsoft 365 Plans | Microsoft” sign-up link referenced in similar guidance.
      • Sign in to the new tenant’s Admin Center.
      • Use Help & Support to open a ticket and request that the support team assist with the original subscription/account, explaining that access is blocked.
      • Cancel the trial subscription after the issue is resolved to avoid charges.
    4. If using Skype-related subscriptions
      • For Skype subscription or account issues, use Chat with Skype customer support from the “None of the above” Skype support page, or start from Contact Skype support and follow the prompts to reach a live chat agent.

These channels connect to real agents rather than only automated bots and are the supported ways to get subscription and billing help for Microsoft 365/Office and Skype.
