I want to be able to connect my Ubisoft account from my Xbox onto my pc games, but they were made with my @xboxlivefamily.com email. I don't remember the password for the account and I can't receive a password reset email through the @xboxlivefamily domain. I have tried using various email websites like Outlook to access the emails, but nothing shows up when I sign in. How do I change my email without being able to receive them?

The @xboxlivefamily.com address is (or was) just an email alias used as the sign‑in name for a Microsoft account, not a standalone mailbox you can open in Outlook. To change the email on the Microsoft/Xbox account or access it, the account itself must still exist and be recoverable.

    Use these steps, in order:

    1. Check whether the @xboxlivefamily.com address is still a Microsoft account
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com and enter the @xboxlivefamily.com address.
      • If a password prompt appears, the address is still a Microsoft account.
      • If the message “We couldn't find an account with that username” or “That Microsoft account doesn't exist” appears, that address is no longer an active Microsoft account, and it cannot be used to sign in.
    2. If it is a Microsoft account but the password is unknown
      • Use Forgot password? on the sign‑in page and follow the reset flow.
      • If no reset code can be received at that address, use any other recovery options shown (alternate email, phone, or security info).
      • If none of those work, complete the Microsoft Account Recovery form (ACSR) from a familiar device and network, providing as much accurate historical information as possible. Account recovery is fully automated; support cannot bypass it.
    3. If locked out due to too many attempts
      • Stop trying to sign in or reset for at least 24 hours; repeated attempts can extend the lockout.
      • After the cooldown, try again with the recovery form and any available verification methods.
    4. After regaining access to the Microsoft/Xbox account
      • Add a new, working email address as an alias and make it primary:
        1. Sign in to the account and go to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
        2. Use Add email to add a new address (or an existing non‑Microsoft address that you control).
        3. Select Make primary next to the new address.
      • Do not remove the old alias until the new one is primary and everything is working.
    5. If the @xboxlivefamily.com address is not recognized as a Microsoft account
      • The account may have been closed or never existed as a Microsoft account. In that case, it cannot be recovered or used to sign in, and the Ubisoft/Xbox link that depends on it cannot be managed through Microsoft.
      • Any change of email for the Ubisoft side would then have to be done through Ubisoft’s own account‑recovery and support processes, since Microsoft cannot modify a Ubisoft account.

There is no way to change the email on a Microsoft/Xbox account or receive password‑reset messages if ownership of that Microsoft account cannot be re‑established through the official recovery process.
