After completing the identity validation sent by email, the validation status changed to failure with the following error "Email verification failed". There were no other emails received and the organization has a history of more than 3 years.

Please assist with the verification process as we don't see any reason for it to fail.

If your identity validation status changed to failure with the error "Email verification failed," it is likely due to missing the email verification link that was sent to the primary email address you provided during the identity validation request. Here are the steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check for the Email Verification Link: Ensure that you check the primary email inbox for the verification email. If you missed the link or did not click it within seven days, you will need to create a new identity validation request, as the link cannot be resent.
    2. Create a New Identity Validation Request: If the verification link has expired, initiate a new identity validation request. Make sure that the email address used is not a distribution list and can receive emails from external sources.
    3. Contact Support: If you believe there was an error or if you did not receive the email at all, you may want to contact Azure Support or use Microsoft Q&A for assistance with your identity validation process.

Following these steps should help you address the email verification failure and proceed with the identity validation process.
