To prevent Outlook from deleting your important emails after 30 days, you can adjust the retention settings for your mailbox. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Check Your Mailbox Retention Settings:
If you are using an Exchange account, the retention policy may be set by your administrator. By default, deleted items in Exchange Online are kept for 14 days, but this can be configured to a maximum of 30 days. If you want to keep emails longer than this, you may need to change the retention policy or settings for your mailbox.
    2. Recover Deleted Items:
If emails have been deleted, you can recover them using the "Recover Deleted Items" feature in Outlook or Outlook on the web. This feature allows you to restore items that were deleted within the retention period. To access this feature:
      • In Outlook, go to the "Folder" tab and select "Recover Deleted Items."
      • In Outlook on the web, go to the "Deleted Items" folder and look for an option to recover deleted items.
    3. Change Deleted Item Retention Period:
If you have administrative access, you can change how long permanently deleted items are kept for your mailbox using Exchange Online PowerShell. Here’s how you can do it:
      • Open PowerShell and connect to Exchange Online.
      • Use the following command to set the retention period (replace "YourMailbox" with the actual mailbox name):
             Set-Mailbox -Identity "YourMailbox" -RetainDeletedItemsFor 30

      • This command sets the retention period for deleted items to 30 days. You can adjust the number as needed, up to the maximum limit.
    4. Consult Your IT Support:
If you are unsure about making these changes or if you do not have the necessary permissions, it is best to consult your IT support team. They can help you adjust the settings according to your needs.

By following these steps, you should be able to prevent Outlook from deleting your important emails after 30 days and manage your mailbox more effectively.
