There is no way for me to log into my CT State account anymore. Logging in requires me to get a code from the Authenticator app. The Authenticator app, when opened for this, also asks me for a code from the Authenticator app. See how this is a problem? There used to be a button on the top right of the page called “Get Code” when this happened. But now, ITS GONE. HOW IS THIS EVER SUPPOSED TO WORK NOW??

What you’re hitting is a known Authenticator sign-in loop: when your account is configured to require Microsoft Authenticator as the only verification method, the app can end up asking for a code from itself, which is impossible and effectively locks you out, especially now that Microsoft has removed the old “Get Code” fallback in some flows. When this happens, there is no self-serve way to generate a code; the only supported recovery paths are to use an alternative verification method (if one was previously added), follow the “I don’t have any of these” account recovery flow for personal Microsoft accounts, or very commonly for school/work accounts like CT State, contact your IT help desk to reset MFA and reissue a new QR code so Authenticator can be re‑linked to your account.
