If you are encountering an error stating that your device doesn't support passkeys in Microsoft Authenticator, it is likely due to your current Android version being older than Android 15. The recommendation is to update your device to Android 15 to enable passkey support. If your device is running Android 14 or lower, you may not be able to use certain features in the Authenticator app that require a newer version of the operating system.

Additionally, ensure that you have enabled Authenticator as a passkey provider in your device settings, as this may also affect your ability to generate passkeys.
