How can I access my previous authenticator account that was on a broken phone?

I had used the Microsoft authenticator app to do 2 factor authentication on my old Facebook but then I broke my phone and can no longer access it or get access to the code for my Facebook. Is there anyway to possibly have Microsoft get the code for me or even help me access that back up? I logged into the authenticator app but must've done it wrong because it didn't transfer anything over. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it.

To regain access to your Microsoft Authenticator account after losing your phone, you can follow these steps:

    1. Recovery Options: If you had set up a backup or recovery options in your Microsoft account, try to access those. This might include using an alternative email or phone number linked to your account.
    2. Contact Microsoft Support: Since you are unable to access your authenticator codes, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance. They can help you with the necessary steps to verify your identity and regain access to your account.
    3. Using a Backup Code: If you had previously saved backup codes for your Facebook account, you can use those to log in. Check if you have stored them somewhere safe.
    4. Reinstalling the App: If you have a new phone, reinstall the Microsoft Authenticator app and try to restore your accounts using any backup options you might have set up previously.
    5. Alternative Authentication Methods: If you have set up alternative methods of authentication (like SMS or email), you can use those to log in to your Facebook account.

Unfortunately, Microsoft cannot retrieve codes from the Authenticator app itself, as it is designed to be secure and private. You will need to follow the recovery steps to regain access to your accounts.
