Guys I did get it sorted! Do not fret! I had to contact Xbox support via the speak with a gamer chat function, you escalate the case and they call you back! It’s a glitch in the system that reverts your profile to child.

you have to change settings on Microsoft and add a ghost lead family organiser (with a different email to your account), you then have to add your problem account to the family group and then you change Xbox settings. It’s a really crappy process but it did work eventually. Took me 6 days to get fixed

If your Xbox account is not allowing you to change your privacy settings and keeps reverting to the original values, it could be due to several reasons:

    1. Age Verification: Ensure that your age is correctly verified. If your account is still considered a child account (under 13 years), certain privacy settings may be restricted.
    2. Account Linking: If your account is linked to a Microsoft account that has parental controls or restrictions, those settings might be overriding your changes. You may need to check the settings on the parent account.
    3. System Glitches: Sometimes, system glitches can prevent changes from being saved. Try signing out and back into your account or restarting your console.
    4. Network Issues: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection when trying to change settings, as connectivity issues can affect the ability to save changes.
    5. Updates: Make sure your Xbox is updated to the latest version, as updates can sometimes fix bugs related to account settings.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Xbox Support for further assistance.

My son and I have the same issue. The privacy settings will not save. I age verified myself last night but it made no difference and when I go back in today I am no longer showing as she verified. Is there a thread somewhere I can follow relating to the new issue.
