Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello @Emilija Micković
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share what you’ve been going through. I’m truly sorry for the stress and disruption this situation has caused you. Being unable to access your business account for several days is incredibly frustrating, and I completely understand how upsetting and exhausting this must feel.
I also want to sincerely apologize for the delay in response from support. As far as I know, they're currently experiencing a very high volume of cases, and this can unfortunately slow down the assignment process. At the moment, it may take around 5–7 days for your ticket to be assigned to a support engineer in your region. I know this is far from ideal, especially given the impact on your business, and I truly appreciate your patience.
Regarding the Microsoft Authenticator requirement: I understand how discouraging it feels when the very security feature meant to protect your account becomes a barrier. The verification code is required because it is one of the strongest safeguards to ensure that only you can access your account. While this adds protection, it also means that when the app stops working or a device becomes unavailable, it can cause situations like the one you’re experiencing now.
If your phone is lost, damaged, reset, or if you no longer have access to the Authenticator app, and you are the sole admin on the account, the only team authorized to help restore access is the Microsoft Data Protection Team. They have the necessary tools and permissions to verify your identity and assist with regaining access securely.
I also want to be fully transparent with you: As a forum moderator, I unfortunately do not have access to your tenant, account details, or internal systems. This means I’m unable to directly reset MFA, access your subscription, or make changes on your behalf. Only the Data Protection Team has the permissions required to resolve these types of lockout situations. I’m very sorry for the limitations here. I truly wish I could do more directly.
To support you the best I can from here, could you please send me your ticket (case) number via private message? Once I have it, I can at least monitor the case from the outside, offer guidance, and help ensure it’s moving in the right direction.
Thank you again for your patience, and I’m genuinely sorry for the difficulties you’ve faced. I’m here to support you however I can until you’re fully back into your account.
