Hi Sandra English,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand your Bose speakers are not showing as connected on your Windows 11 PC and there is no sound.

Please make sure you already tried the steps suggested by the Q&A Assist message above. In addition, please try to follow these steps:

1, Go to Settings > System > Sound > Output and manually select your Bose speakers as the default output device.

2, Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, remove the Bose speakers if they are listed, then restart the PC.

3, After restarting, turn on the Bose speakers, put them into pairing mode, then go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add device and reconnect the speakers.

4, Press Windows + X > Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers, right-click each audio device, then select Uninstall device and restart the PC to allow Windows to reinstall audio drivers automatically.

5, Go to Settings > System > Sound > Volume mixer and confirm that the system volume and app volume are not muted or set to very low output.

6, Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any available driver or optional updates related to audio or Bluetooth.

Hi there! My name is David. It’s a pleasure to help you today.

Do the speakers connect to your PC via cable (3.5mm jack) or Bluetooth?

Can you tell me the model of your Bose speakers?

Regards.

If your Bose speakers are not showing as connected to your PC, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Connections: Ensure that the speakers are properly connected to the PC. If they are Bluetooth speakers, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your PC and that the speakers are in pairing mode.
    2. Device Manager: Open Device Manager on your PC and check if the audio drivers are installed and functioning correctly. If not, you may need to update or reinstall the drivers.
    3. Audio Troubleshooter: Run the audio troubleshooter by going to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. This can help identify and fix common audio issues.
    4. Different USB Port: If your Bose speakers are connected via USB, try connecting them to a different USB port on your PC.
    5. Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your PC and the speakers can resolve connectivity issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking the Bose support website for specific troubleshooting related to your speaker model.
