Hi,

If you recently purchased additional space, please note that it may take 24 to 48 hours to update across all services. If you still don’t see the change after that time, try signing out and back in.

After that time frame, check if your storage space has been updated by visiting: https://outlook.live.com/

Go to Settings > Accounts > Storage

Expand both the Microsoft Storage and Cloud Storage sections

If the storage is not updated, I suggest contacting Microsoft Support directly so they can check it for you:

Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent.

None of these answers given actually answer the question look at the topic and do better.
SUBJECT OF THREAD: Only 5GB of storage but I have a paid subscription?

WHY would someones storage be down graded to something so much lower and why would it happen in the middle of a subscription and if you MICROSOFT changed your TERMS you should have given fair warning.

    UPDATE:

PSA: If your Microsoft annual subscription suddenly changed your storage from 6TB to 5GB overnight, this is what fixed it for me.

Sign in to your Microsoft account and go to your subscription.

    First, turn off recurring billing.

    Then choose cancel subscription.

You’ll get warnings, but before it actually cancels, Microsoft may finally show your real paid plan.

Choose “Stay subscribed” on the correct annual plan.

That restored my original storage and reset the subscription I already paid for.

Microsoft also turned recurring billing back on automatically, so check that afterward.

    You’re welcome.

If you are only receiving 5GB of storage despite having a paid subscription, it could be due to the specific plan you are subscribed to. For example, some Microsoft 365 plans, such as Microsoft 365 for the web with SharePoint Plan 1, may have limited storage. To check if your plan is eligible for additional storage, you can refer to the list of subscriptions that allow for Office 365 Extra File Storage, which includes various Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plans.

If you need more storage, you can purchase the Office 365 Extra File Storage add-on through the Microsoft 365 admin center. The steps to do this depend on your billing account type (MCA or MOSA).

Make sure to verify your current plan and consider upgrading or adding storage if necessary.
