Hi, I notice every day an attempt in my Microsoft authenticator and attempt to get it. It says " New Sign-In request" for your Microsoft Account. What should I do?

Hello Mario,

If you are receiving repeated “New sign-in request” notifications in the Microsoft Authenticator app that you did not initiate, this indicates that someone is attempting to sign in to your Microsoft account using your email address and password. The important point is that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is working as intended and is preventing unauthorized access.

If you did not attempt to sign in, you should deny the request immediately and take action to secure your account. We strongly recommend changing your Microsoft account password to a new, strong, and unique password, reviewing recent sign-in activity for any unfamiliar locations or devices, and ensuring that only trusted authentication methods and devices are configured on your account. If available, enabling additional protections such as number matching in the Authenticator app can further reduce the risk of accidental or fraudulent approvals.

Please note that you should only approve sign-in requests that you personally initiate. Approving an unexpected request may result in unauthorized access to your account.

Regards,
